The library at Southwestern University had outgrown both the technology and the design of their existing site. They were looking for someone to design a new site for them within the stylings of the University, while also coding that site to be easily managed using LiveWhale, a content management system for academic settings. Being a book lover myself, I was excited to be chosen for this project.
After a few meetings with the library administration gathering ideas and needs, I set out to work. With each round we sharpened the design until we had something that all were happy with, and then the coding began. We also created a mobile styling for the site so that students and faculty can access the site in the palm of their hand, even as they wander among the shelves.
